We are thrilled to announce that Friends International has been chosen by the Jury as the winner of the 2024 Sports 4 Children Award for their project “Sports for Success”.

The project, implemented by Friends-International (FI) and Mith Samlanh (MS), supports vulnerable children and youth under 18 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, who face significant social hardship, including living on the streets, in slums, or experiencing violence, substance abuse, and exploitation.

Over one year, the initiative will use sports activities to build confidence, self-esteem, and essential life skills, aiding their reintegration into society.

Activities include daily sports sessions, community outreach, tournaments, and life skills training for over 600 participants, complemented by focus groups to evaluate the project’s impact.
