Organisations applying for the Sport 4 Children 2024 Award must:
The Boustany Foundation internal committee will select a shortlist of applications and choose the winner.
Only candidates who have submitted all the necessary documents described in the How to Apply section will be considered.
All information provided will be treated in the strictest confidence. The Boustany Foundation internal committee will be required to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements.
Applications for the Award will be judged on several factors, but principally:
Professionalism of the organisation:
The project’s focus on achieving Sport 4 Children’s objectives.
Impact on the community – The extent to which the project maximises impact on children’s mental and physical health.
Solutions to prevailing issues – Does the project deliver genuine benefits for children?
The reach – How many children will benefit and how it can be measured.
Innovation – Are new pathways proposed that extend subject matters; are there new initiatives that will excite children and achieve the Award’s goals?
Inclusion and social impact – The evidence of programmes or initiatives that have a social impact focus on inclusion and diversity.

Through both his athletic feats and his leadership, Díaz has made a lasting impact on sports and social initiatives worldwide.

In 2017, she led the humanitarian action, the Caravan For Peace, supported by athletes like Didier Drogba, Balla Dieye and Ladji Doucouré. They developed actions across Senegal to promote peace through sport.
In 2019, Olivier Wenden was appointed by HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, Vice-President and CEO of the Foundation. Prior to this, he served as the Foundation’s Executive Director and Secretary General from 2014.
Instrumental in the international growth of the Foundation and its fundraising strategy, Olivier has developed active partnerships with the private sector and overseen the launch of its science-based and innovative programmes.
A born diplomat and nature lover, Olivier has always been interested in international affairs and sustainable development. After graduating from the Institut d’Etudes Politique de Bordeaux - Sciences Po Bordeaux, Olivier completed a trilingual Masters program in international trade at the University of Paris Sorbonne Nouvelle.
On returning to Monaco, he held key positions in the Parliament, serving as Chief of Staff and international affairs Advisor to the President.
Paula Radcliffe, born in Northwich in 1973 and raised in Bedford, started her running career early, joining Frodsham Harriers at 9 and Bedford and County A.C. at 11. She first competed in the World Cross Country Championships at 16, winning at 18, and later claimed senior titles in 2001 and 2002. Graduating from Loughborough University in 1996 with First Class Honours in Modern European Studies, she finished 5th in that year's Olympics before focusing solely on running. Radcliffe went on to set a marathon world record in 2002, which she held until 2019, and won the London Marathon three times (2002, 2003, 2005) and the New York City Marathon three times (2004, 2007, 2008).
She also won marathon gold at the 2005 World Championships.
In addition to running, Radcliffe received an MBE in 2002, served on several athletic and health commissions, and now advocates for clean air as a UN Ambassador. She is a BBC Athletics commentator and runs “Families on Track,” promoting family fitness. Radcliffe is also a Peace and Sport Ambassador, a patron for various charities, and launched initiatives in 2021 to combat declining physical activity in youth due to the pandemic.
