We’re proud to announce that Michael Kreuziger has been awarded the 2025 Boustany Astronomy PhD Scholarship at the University of Cambridge. Michael, originally from Germany, completed his Bachelor’s degree in Physics at Heidelberg University before pursuing advanced studies at Cambridge, where he earned his MASt in Physics and MPhil in Planetary Science and Life in the Universe.
Michael’s pioneering research focuses on exoplanets—planets beyond our solar system—and the fascinating search for extraterrestrial life. At the Institute of Astronomy, he will investigate how cosmic dust, asteroids, and comets may transform planets into habitable worlds similar to our own.
With a deep passion for interdisciplinary exploration, Michael’s curiosity, dedication, and groundbreaking work make him a truly inspiring recipient of this year’s scholarship.
